The Brecon Beacons National Park offers an opportunity to ride on some of the most beautiful bridle ways in the UK.
The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority has been awarded the BHS Access Award for the National Park most active in opening up equestrian routes.
For those interested in a day out on horseback there are 12 riding centres offering trekking on some of the most beautiful bridal ways in the UK. Horses can be booked for an hour, half a day or a whole day and experienced guides will accompany you.
For those who are more experienced and have their own horses there is the fantastic Three Rivers Ride that has 35 miles within the Brecon Beacons National Park - accommodation providers & accredited operators have worked together to package routes along & on loops branching off with horse-friendly places to stay!
On the western boundary of the National Park is the Epynt Way - a 90km waymarked circular permissive bridleway with access and coral points along the route. Close to the Epynt Way is the Crychan Forest with over 6 way marked routes varying in distance from 5 miles to 25 miles.
There are four car parks with special large bays for horse boxes, two of the car parks have fenced sandy corrals.
