Eating Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn
Award winning restaurant and pub
At the foot of the Black Mountains 1 and a half miles from Crickhowell, 8 miles from Abergavenny and14 miles from Brecon is the award winning Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn.
Literally translated as 'the Brook by the border' The Nantyffin was originally a drovers' inn dating back to the 16th century. Well known for its production of cider during the 19th century - The Nantyffin is now recognised as one of the great food destinations in Wales.
It has been renowned for over 10 years for its successful combination of the traditional values of great British pubs with the classic style of the bistros of rural France.
Though there is room to eat in the bar and lounge areas, the old apple store has been converted into The Mill Room Restaurant to accommodate the ever-growing number of diners.
Always popular with visitors to the Brecon Beacons National Park and local food lovers alike, the Nantyffin Cider Mill now has a pedigree that attracts diners from across the UK and beyond.
Regular visitors from Europe and the United States are likely to be encountered by diners new to the Nantyffin as well as local family gatherings, peers from the House of Lords and mountain bikers fresh from the surrounding peaks. Former US president - Jimmy Carter included - are amongst the list of former patrons.
