The building is an historic site linking back to the foundation of the town; a coaching inn, which grew out of the ruins of the castle and in 1809, became one of the first modern hotels in Wales.
The Castle retains the warmth and character of a coaching inn and the Regency Ballroom, with the adjoining remains of the Great Hall of Brecon Castle, is undoubtedly the most attractive and historic venue in Mid-Wales. The Brecon Beacons dominate the town and provide a picturesque backdrop to our ballroom and our gardens.
