Welcome to Cantref Riding Centre!

Cantref Riding Centre was established over 40 yrs ago and is still run by the same family. We offer Trekking, Horse Riding and Riding lessons in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Cantref Riding centre offers riding for all abilities from 20 minutes to full day rides and is the only riding centre situated on the Brecon Beacons. The centre offers you a unique way to see the Beacons from horse back with many of its rides taking you on the mountains themselves.

The 20 minute ride is suitable for beginner riders and children aged 4 - 6 years and take place in the riding school.

Prices - Adult £13.00 - Child £11.00

The Cantref Red Kite ride goes around the farm and gives you spectacular views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. This ride is suitable for children 6 years and above and the beginner/novice rider. The ride remains at a walk and is the ideal ride for families with younger children. Ride is approx 1 hour.

The Brecon Beacons Explorer ride is approx 2 1/2 hours long and takes you up onto the mountains via the country lanes. The ride is suitable for all abilities and there are opportunities to canter for the more experienced rider; conditions permitting. Please note that children must be 11 years and over to ride on the mountains.

Prices: Online - £37.00 - Phone / Reception £34.00

The Welsh Pony Trails ride is approx 5 hour long which includes a stop for lunch en route. The ride will take you into the heart of the Beacons where you will see the breath taking beauty. You will need to bring a packed lunch with you. Please note that children must be 11 years and over to ride on the mountains.

At the riding centre we take every care that all riders enjoy their day and our experienced, guides will make every effort to help you enjoy your ride. All rides receive basic instruction in our outdoor riding school before leaving the Centre for your ride and riding hats are provided free of charge.

Our knowledge and experience over these years has led to many return visitors.

We are licensed and approved by many of the major equine organisations local council, W.T.R.A and A.A.L.A
